The Ecosoft FPA 1354 filter is intended to reduce contents of chlorine and its toxic compounds in water, as well as organic impurities causing the yellow water colour. 

What are the dangers of high chlorine and organic matter?

Compounds of active chlorine effectively disinfect water, but at the same time, they cause a number of domestic water problems. High chlorine content leads to brittle hair, dry skin and allergic reactions. Сhlorinated water is usually accompanied by a specific unpleasant odor.

To eliminate these problems, you just need to install an effective carbon filter, designed specifically for the household water purification.

Model features

As a filtering media in the system Ecosoft FPA 1354 is used activated carbon FILTRASORB®  300 (Calgon Carbon, USA). The filtering media effectively removes active chlorine, organic and organochlorine compounds. Purified water does not contain pesticides and petroleum products, and also has a natural bluish tint.

Filter construction and maintenance

The filter consists of a solid housing filled with high-quality FILTRASORB® 300 (Calgon Carbon Corporation, USA) activated carbon and a multifunction control valve.

The filter is connected to the cold water supply. After pre-cleaning of solid impurities particles, water enters the filter, which removes chlorine, organochlorine and organic matter. The purified water moves to the consumer through the central pipe.

Regeneration

When the resource of the filter media is exhausted, the filter independently goes on regeneration, but only at period of minimal water consumption to not deprive you of access to purified water. During this raw water passes through the filter at high speed reverse flow and consequently  cleans the surface of the activated carbon. After regeneration water that contains impurities is discharged into the savage. After that, the filter can again be used for water treatment. 

Control Automation

The unique control valve is developed by Clack Corporation (USA). It provides filter’s independent service, keeps constant reserve of purified water and doesn’t require any special attention.

Who are the users?

The Ecosoft FPA 1354 filter is commonly used for water purification in 1- 2 bathroom apartment or house inhabited by up to 4 residents. The filter capacity is up to 1 m³ per hour.

Activated carbon is well known to be an effective sorbent with a large active surface. It is an indispensable component of every first aid kit. At the same time, activated carbons are also widely used in many industries to remove various impurities. In water treatment, activated carbon is used to reduce contents of chlorine, chlorination by-products and organic matter typical for surface waters. 

Filter operation 

The filter is connected to cold water source. Pre-treated from sediment particles, the water enters the filter vessel filled with active carbon. The carbon reduces contents of chlorine, chlorination by-products and organic matter from the water. The purified water is delivered to consumer through the riser pipe of the filter vessel. 

Regeneration 

When the filter media is exhausted, the filter independently starts regeneration, but only when water consumption is minimal, in order not to limit consumer’s access to the purified water. During regeneration, water is backwashed at high speed to clean the surface of the activated carbon by washing out all of the impurities, and then it is discharged into the sewer. After that, the filter can be again used for water purification. For regeneration, untreated feed water is used.

Thanks to the application of the multifunctional valve, the filter does not require constant attention. The only important task connected to maintenance for customer is timely refilling of the salt. It will ensure efficient regeneration of the filter media and thus durable filter service life and water quality.
If any problem arises, the valve will inform about the problem at the display with a text message.
