Filter Ecosoft FU 2162 CE 125 is designed for industrial water softening. System capacity is up to 7 m³/h.

Designed for water softening for industrial and household needs. The system can be used for both commercial water treatment and small production processes.

Model features

The water softening filter can save a lot, cause one filter can replace several specialized and bulky facilities. The performance of one Ecosoft FU 2162 CE125 filter is 6.8 m³/h purified water per hour. The system works automatically, its maintenance is simplified to the timely addition of tableted salt to the tank.

Filter construction and operation

The system consists of only two modules - an ion exchange resin container and a salt solvent tank. The cylinder (column) is made of a polymer corrosion resistant composite material. The column is filled an ion exchange resin Dowex®, manufactured by Dow Chemical (USA).

Water softening is carried out in one stage. Pre-cleaned from mechanical impurities water enters the filter vessel filled with ion exchange resin. Water passes through a layer of resin, while stiffness ions are trapped on the resin, and purified water is supplied to the consumer through the central pipe of the vessel.

Regeneration

Due to the regeneration ability of the ion exchange resin, its service life can be up to 5 years. The restoration of the working properties of the material is carried out by washing with a solution of a tableted salt, which is prepared in a separate salt-dissolving tank. As well as water purification, the process of regeneration of filter media is carried out automatically.

Control Automation

The filter is controlled by an electromechanical valve CE (Clack Corporation, USA).

Who are the users?

The filter of softening Ecosoft FU 2162 CE 125 fits for objects with a total capacity up to 6,8 m³ per hour. Installation can be used for purifuing and softening both artesian wells, and tap water.

The filter is connected to the cold water supply. Water pre-cleaned from sediment particles enters the filter vessel filled with ion-exchange resin. Water passes through the resin layer which reduces hardness of the water. Purified water is supplied to consumer through the riser pipe of the filter vessel.

After the resin is exhausted, and can no longer absorb the ions of hardness, the control valve switches the filter to regeneration mode. For user’s convenience, the valve settings are programmed so that the filter is regenerated at the time when water is not consumed. 

Regeneration

Regeneration of the filter media is divided into 4 clearly predetermined stages that are carried out by the valve independently. 

  • The first stage - the filter is backwashed in order to plough up the filter media and wash out sediment particles from it. 

  • Then the brine solution is supplied from the brine tank to the filter vessel to pass through resin. As a result, hardness salts are washed out, and together with the remains of solution are discharged to sewers. 

  • At the end of the regeneration, the resin is washed with a direct stream of water (step 3) to wash out remains of brine solution. 

  • The last stage (4) is filling the brine tank with water to dissolve the tablet salt and preparing the solution for the next regeneration. 

After that, the filter can be again used for water purification.

Thanks to the use of a multifunctional valve, the filter does not require constant attention.
The only important task connected to maintenance for customer is timely stocking of the salt.
It will ensure efficient regeneration of the filter media and thus durable filter service life and water quality. If any problem arises, the valve will inform about the problem at the display with a text message.
