Wholesale Water softening filter of continuous flow Ecosoft FU 1465 Twin


Ecosoft FU 1465 Twin filter is intended for water softening (reducing hardness).

The filter is commonly used in cottages, restaurants, laundries, car washes, breweries, bakeries, water–heating and steam–powered boiler plants.

The filter represents a vessel filled with the Dowex filter media, a multifunctional control valve and a brine tank for filter media regeneration.

The unique control valve is a product developed by Ecosoft and produced by Clack Corporation (USA). It provides filter’s independent service, keeps a constant reserve of purified water and doesn’t require any special attention.

Components of the filter

  • Filter vessel

  • Clack WS1TWIN СЕ multifunctional control valve (USA)

  • Brine tank with brine system for regeneration

  • Dowex filter media HCR-S/S (Dow, USA)

The filter is connected to the cold water supply. Water pre-cleaned from sediment particles enters the filter vessel filled with Dowex filter media. Water passes through the ion-exchange resin layer which reduces hardness of the water. Purified water is supplied to consumer through the riser pipe of the filter vessel.

After the filter media is exhausted the control valve switches one of the filter’s vessels to regeneration mode, and engages the second one. Regeneration is performed with purified water supplied from the operating vessel of the filter, and is divided into 5 clearly predetermined stages that are carried out by the valve independently. At the first stage the filter is backwashed in order to plough up the filter media and wash out sediment particles from it. Then the brine solution is supplied from the brine tank to the filter vessel to pass through resin. As a result, hardness salts are washed out and together with the remains of solution are discharged to sewers. The next stage (3) represents a short backwashing that ploughs up the filter media again, and washes out the remains of brine solution.  After backwashing, washing of the resin is carried out with direct water flow (stage 4). The last stage (5) represents filling the brine tank with water to dissolve the tablet salt, and preparation of the solution for next regeneration. After that, the filter vessel with regenerated filter media is waiting for the end of operation of the main vessel.

Thanks to the use of a multifunctional valve, the filter does not require constant attention. The only important task connected to maintenance for customer is timely stocking of the salt. It will ensure efficient regeneration of the filter media and thus durable filter service life and water quality.
