The Ecosoft FPA 1665 filter is intended to reduce chlorine content and its toxic compounds in water, as well as organic impurities causing a yellowish water colour.

What are the dangers of high chlorine and organic matter?

Compounds of active chlorine effectively disinfect water, but at the same time, they cause a number of domestic water problems. High chlorine content leads to brittle hair, dry skin and allergic reactions. Сhlorinated water is usually accompanied by a specific unpleasant odour.

To eliminate these problems, you just need to install an effective carbon filter, designed specifically for household water purification.


Model features

The filtering medium used in the Ecosoft FPA 1252 system is activated carbon FILTRASORB® 300 (Calgon Carbon, USA). The filter media effectively removes active chlorine, organic and organochlorine compounds. Purified water does not contain pesticides and petroleum products, and also has a natural bluish tint.

Filter construction and maintenance

The filter consists of a solid vessel filled with high-quality FILTRASORB® 300 (Calgon Carbon Corporation, USA) activated carbon and a multifunction control valve.

The filter is connected to the cold water supply. After pre-cleaning to remove solid impurity particles, water enters the filter, which removes chlorine, organochlorine and organic matter. The purified water comes to the consumer through the central pipe.



When the filter media resource is exhausted, the filter independently goes into regeneration, but only for a period of minimal water consumption to avoid depriving you of access to purified water. During this raw water passes through the filter at high speed in reverse flow and consequently cleans the surface of the activated carbon. After regeneration the water that contains impurities is discharged. After that, the filter can again be used for water treatment.

Control Automation

The unique control valve is developed by Clack Corporation (USA). It ensures the filter’s independent service, keeps a constant reserve of purified water and doesn’t require any special attention.

Who are the users?

The Ecosoft FPA 1665 filter is designed for purifying water from chlorine and its compounds in homes with up to 8 people. The filter capacity is up to 1,5 m³ per hour.

Activated carbon is well known to be an effective sorbent with a large active surface. It is an indispensable component of every first aid kit. At the same time, activated carbons are also widely used in many industries to remove various impurities. In water treatment, activated carbon is used to reduce contents of chlorine, chlorination by-products and organic matter typical for surface waters.

Filter operation

The filter is connected to cold water supply. Water enters the filter vessel and goes through the layer of the filter media, which effectively reduces sediment. Purified water is delivered to the consumer through the riser pipe of the filter vessel.


When the filter is exhausted, it automatically switches to regeneration mode in order to regenerate the operational characteristics of the filter media. At the prescribed time the control valve shifts the system into regeneration mode. For the consumer’s convenience, the system is regenerated during times when water is not being consumed. During the regeneration the filter is backwashed at high speed, the water stirs and cleans the surface of activated carbon, washing out all the impurities, and then is discharged into the drain. After this the system can be used for water purification again. Untreated feed water is used for the regeneration.

Thanks to the use of a multifunctional valve, the filter does not require constant attention. The only important task connected to maintenance for customer is timely stocking of the salt. It will ensure efficient regeneration of the filter media and thus durable filter service life and water quality.

If any problem arises, the valve will display a text message about the problem.
