ECOCIDE DB20 RO is a fast acting non-oxidative broad spectrum biocide. It is intended for microbiological control and prevention of membrane biofouling. ECOCIDE DB20 RO has immediate disinfectant action and rapidly biodegrades to non-toxic products. Due to those properties, ECOCIDE DB20 RO is a safe and cost effective solution for RO systems.

ECOCIDE DB20 RO based on a 20% DBNPA (2,2-dibromo-3-nitrilopropionamide). The acting of the biocide based on the destruction of bacteria cells, algae and other microorganisms internal structures. ECOCIDE DB20 RO prevents the formation of biofilms.
ECOCIDE DB20 RO does not an oxidizer and does not interact with the membrane web and other materials used in water treatment.
ECOCIDE DB20 RO is environmentally friendly as it is easily and quickly destroyed and does not accumulate.

Non-stop injection dosage depends on flow rate and microbial load of raw water. Normally, it is in the range of 1...100 mg/L. This method of usage is not suitable for drinking water.
Periodic injection dosage depends on flow rate and microbial load of raw water as well as severity of membrane fouling and normally is in 50...100 mg/L. Recommended periodicity is at least once in 5 days. Each interval should span 1 hour or longer.
Membrane chemical cleaning
When using Ecocide BD20 RO for membrane cleaning, concentrations of the biocide depends on quantity of cleaning solution and extent of membrane fouling. It normally is in the range 20...200 mg/L. Recommended method of use is to circulate the solution or soak the membrane for 1...3 hours. Recommended periodicity is once in 5 days.
