Ecosoft FK 6386CE3 filter is intended for reduction of iron, manganese, ammonium, hardness and organic matter in water. The filter is applicable for objects with a capacity below 50 m3/h.

The filter represents a vessel containing Ecomix® advanced softening material, a multifunctional control valve that provides and manages the entire operation and a brine tank for system regeneration.

The unique control valve is a product developed by Ecosoft and produced by Clack Corporation (USA). It provides filter’s independent service, keeps constant reserve of purified water and doesn’t require any special attention.

The filter is connected to the cold water supply. Water pre-cleaned from sediment impurities enters the filter vessel filled with Ecomix® filter media. Ecomix® consists of five components that are self–classified into layers inside the filter during the regeneration. Water evenly passes through each layer, sequentially reducing the content of iron, manganese, organic matter and hardness. Purified water is supplied to consumer through the riser pipe of the filter vessel.

The filter effectively purifies water and independently controls all processes of its operation. When the filter media is exhausted, the filter independently starts regeneration, but only when water consumption is minimal, in order not to limit consumer’s access to the purified water. Besides, the system remembers the intensity of consumer’s water consumption at different times and adapts to make the clean water available even during peak consumption — at weekends, for instance.

Regeneration of the filter media is divided into 5 clearly predetermined stages that are carried out by the valve independently. The first stage is the backwash intended to wash out compounds of iron and manganese from the filter media. Then the brine solution is supplied from the brine tank to the filter vessel to pass through Ecomix®. As a result, hardness and organic matter are washed out and together with the remains of solution are discharged to sewers. The next stage (3) represents a short backwashing that ploughs up the filter media again and washes out the remains of brine solution. After regeneration, washing of the media is carried out with direct water flow (stage 4) for filter layers to self–classify in the correct order. The last stage (5) represents filling the brine tank with water to dissolve the tablet salt and preparation of the solution for next regeneration.
